When this arena was completed, it was one of the largest indoor facilities of its kind in Europe. It housed a:

· Hay and Rug Stores
· Horse Walker, Tack Room, and Horse Shower
· Office, Storage, and Catering Facilities

All of these facilities were under one 39-metre, clear-span, translucent roof. This allowed for natural daylight and helped the owner save on electricity costs.
